In the first three quarters of 2024, the city's new energy industry achieved an output value of 57 billion yuan, and it is expected to achieve an output value of 75 billion yuan for the whole year. The proportion of the city's new energy industry output value to the above designated industry has risen to 43.8%, ranking fifth in the province.

The ecological environment department of Xuancheng City has led the preparation of the "Development Plan for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry in Xuancheng City", with the main focus on attracting investment in industries such as environmental protection equipment manufacturing, photovoltaics, new energy batteries, biomass energy, and new energy power plants. Implement a mechanism where party members take the lead in leading new energy and energy-saving environmental protection industry projects, conduct pre research and approval of major new energy issues by the party group, and conduct a thorough investigation, reasonable planning, and integration of resources with low utilization rates in the jurisdiction to improve resource utilization efficiency. In 2023, there will be 118 new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industry landing projects in the city, with a total investment of 120.5 billion yuan, successfully selected as one of the key cities for the development of new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industries in the province. In the first half of the year, the added value of the two leading industries, new energy and automotive parts, increased by 20.4%, contributing 61.8% to the growth of large-scale industries, rapidly enhancing the contribution of strategic emerging industries to the city's green, low-carbon and circular development.
Consolidate professional strength to tackle challenges. Adhering to the principle of 'managing industries must manage investments', the Party group takes the lead in establishing the Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry Association, forming a professional consulting committee, continuously introducing professional forces, focusing on the new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industries, and adopting a combination of' funds+resources' to attract investment cooperation. At the same time, by connecting with the Anhui Province New Energy and Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Theme Mother Fund, we actively help local governments plan ecological and environmental protection projects, use special funds to drive local investment, focus on expanding effective investment in ecological and environmental protection projects, and solve the problem of lack of funds and talents in the development of new energy. At present, the Xuancheng Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industry Association has 56 members, with a total output value of 16 billion yuan in 2023. Eight Xuancheng Industry Guidance Investment Funds have been established, with a total scale of 8.5 billion yuan.
Promote the guarantee of essential elements with full capacity. Establish a "Young Party Member Pioneer Team for Ecological Environment Law Enforcement", take the lead in implementing "physical examinations" in enterprises, and reduce the risk of environmental violations in enterprises. Since 2023, the city has discovered and guided over 200 enterprises to rectify environmental problems through party member package cases and party member hanging points. Strengthen the overall planning of environmental factor indicators in the city, fully tap into the potential for emission reduction, and launch the "instant application and enjoyment" of total emissions, freeing up environmental capacity for emerging industries such as new energy and environmental protection. Carrying out bundled approval of environmental impact assessments and vigorously promoting the "one thing, one process" approach for new industries has refreshed the approval speed. Since the beginning of this year, the city has approved and implemented 47 new energy and energy conservation and environmental protection industry projects, with a total investment of 34.969 billion yuan, and the comprehensive score of statistical monitoring ranks second in the province.
